Each June, communities around the world come together to harness the volunteer spirit and improve the conditions in which they live.
United Way Day of Action is an invitation for people and organizations around the world to LIVE UNITED and take action to address a variety of challenges. It is a day that we ask you to help us put our mission into action by volunteering to improve the building blocks for a good quality of life – education, financial stability and health.
United Way of West Ellis County - Day of Action
Friday, June 21 from 10am-1pm
The United Way of West Ellis County believes everyone has the right to age in good health with dignity in their home and community. In 2019, our "Day of Action" will be focused on providing care to homebound seniors in our community. Join us on June 21st as we support these wonderful residents in Ellis County.
- Deliver meals to homebound residents in Waxahachie & Midlothian (Partnership with Meals on Wheels)
- Provide Senior "Care Kits" to these local residents.
- Identify residents in the community who need assistance with small landscaping needs.
