United Way Works for a Healthier America

Whether it is a neighbor without health insurance, a victim of abuse, or someone struggling with mental illness or an addiction, United Ways are working to ensure everyone has access to affordable and quality care.

How We Help

The United Way of West Ellis County partners with numerous agencies in our area who work everyday to improve the physical and mental health of our citizens. We fund agencies who advocate and care for victims of abuse by offering them case management, counseling, and a place to feel safe. Along with this, we partner with two senior centers in our area as well as Meals on Wheels to ensure that our elderly population are taken care of both mentally and physically. We also partner alongside agencies who fight to end the cycle of drug addiction by educating the next generation, and their parents, on the dangers of drug use. When you donate to the United Way of West Ellis County, you are providing a healthier life for men, women, and children who have a wide array of needs.

Testimonial

A gentleman came to us through a referral from his daughter. The daughter had become concerned for his mental health and physical well-being. She was hoping he would come to the center and make friends. He was confused about coming every day in the beginning weeks. Since that time, he comes in with a smile and has made some friends with the other veterans at the center. To see how he seems to be wanting to come, eating nutritious meals, and interacting with others is comforting for his daughter.
